This year we decided on the Cinque Terre region in Liguria on the north west coast of Italy.
Cinque Terre means five lands and comprises of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso.
We also visited Portovenere, Levanto and Volastra.
As well as the villages the region is well known for it's walking trails so some of these had to be tried.
